Heir to a throne
He never wanted
And part of a legacy
He never belonged to

Were meant to keep him

Distanced

But instead
It drew him closer
To the demon
Dormant within him
He knew of the rumours
Of how his heart was
Devoid of desire
Empty of love
At least now
It was filled
With black smoke
And a lust for red

Maybe
This was it
The ex-righteous man’s
Path of destiny
